Programme:

Once more the Leeds team was comprised of some experienced fringe players, but mostly Junior players, with only Andy Hughes as a serious contender for a first-team place. Farsley welcomed back Georges Santos and he jouned former United player, Mark Jackson in Central Defence. they were soon in action as Leeds got the game off to a lively start and they came close to scoring after just three minutes when Sebastien Sorsa speculative shot had to be pushed away by Curtis Aspden. But the home side quickly responded and Jamie Walshaw went close three minutes later as his long range lob scraped the bar and Matt Edwards in the Leeds goal had to make two blocks with his legs in quick succession. Santos made his presence felt with his first uncompromising tackle as the clocked ticked past nineteen minutes. Sebastien Carole shone as he skipped down the right flank and crossed for Tom Elliott to head wide on the thirty-three minute mark, when he should have done much better. Three minutes later Sebastien Sorsa got in a powerful shot that forced the home keeper into another good save, but half time came with the teams locked at 0-0. United were soon on the attack in the second half as Ollie Hotchkiss released Tom Elliott but he lost control of the ball and it was saved by Curtis Aspdean, after he had beaten the home off-side trap. Nine minutes into the half Curtis Weston also managed to find his way in the clear, but once more he was thwarted by the home keeper. Both teams looked to make changes to break the deadlock. In the fifty-fifth minute Chris Ovington replaced Liam Darvilleat Full Back and the home side responded three minutes later by making five changes in sending on Roy Stamer for Craig Bentham, James Knowles for Georges Santos, Matthew James for Steve Downes, Chris Stabb for Andy Watson, and Tom Penford for Rory Prendergast. Next United sent on Nathan Cartman for Ollie Hotchkiss in the sixty-third minute, while the home side made two more changes when they sent on goalkeeper Craig Backhouse for Curtis Aspden and Steve Torpey for Jamie Price four minutes later. The stalemate was finally broken by some of the home side's substitutes. Matthew James made a great run but then saw his shot blocked and go for a corner. Roy Stamer took the flag kick and his inswinging kick evaded everyone but James Knowles, who managed to get his head to it and guide it into the net from two yards, after sixty-nine minutes. Five minutes later the home side made three more changes as Tom Jackson replaced Simeon Bambrook, Remo Nesa came on for Jamie Walshaw and Thomas Harban took over from Andy Campbell, and finally with five minutes left they made their last change as Neil Stevens replaced Mark Jackson. At the same time United sent on Aiden White for Ian Westlake and two minutes later made their final change with Callum Williams replacing Ross Wilkinson leaving goalkeeper Damion Ross and Jonathan Webb and Josh Falkingham unused on the bench. Leeds never recovered from the goal and Farsley were able to see out the game. Robert Madley (Ossett) was the referee and the crowd was 650.
